Alright, folks! Today is the last day of our composition assignment. By now, you have learned about seven compositional rules and have added a LOT of new tools to your tool kit. You have also had three days to take photos using these new rules. These are the photos you should have taken:
THREE photos combining Rule of Thirds and Simplicity
TWO photos combining Line, Framing, and Orientation
THREE photos combining Balance and Viewpoint
If you do the math, that's a grand total of EIGHT photos for you Composition #1 assignment. When you have taken all of your photos, you will turn them in via Google photos by creating an album and entitling it, "Composition #1.". If you need a refresher, here is how you upload photos and turn them in via Google photos:
As stated above, your album will be called Composition #1. It will have eight photos in it with VERY specific labels.
To label a photo, click on the "i" (information) icon in the top right hand side of your individual photo. You will label it in the "add a description" section. This is what your labels should look like:
Photo 1: Rule of Thirds and Simplicity
Photo 2: Rule of Thirds and Simplicity
Photo 3: Rule of Thirds and Simplicity
Photo 4: Line, Framing, and Orientation
Photo 5: Line, Framing, and Orientation
Photo 6: Balance and Viewpoint
Photo 7: Balance and Viewpoint
Photo 8: Balance and Viewpoint
Once you have uploaded and labeled all of your photos, you are ready to turn your assignment in. Find the "Composition #1" assignment link on my website (under August) and you will turn in your album by filling out the form there. Just as a reminder, your assignment is due tomorrow (Tuesday, August 28th) by midnight. Good luck, and I can't wait to see your photos!
